Group 3 - Winsham to the River Axe via Ammerham

This path is part of an old (and still the only direct) route from Winsham to Hawkchurch, Dorset. The first half crosses fields with wonderful views, while the second half passes through the peaceful meadows adjacent to the River Axe on the opposite bank from Forde Abbey. The route described here ends at the bridge crossing the River Axe, the Somerset/Dorset boundary (and Winsham's parish boundary). The branch of CH30/1 between Western Way and the cemetery is relatively modern.
