The Jubilee Hall reopened on Saturday 13th January 2007,following a six month closure for extensive refurbishment that cost some 120,000.Over half of this came from the local community over a period of eighteen months; the balance of the funding came from South Somerset District Council, Defra, Awards for All and Wyvern Waste Management. Much of the work was carried out by local tradesmen. Well over one hundred people attended the reopening, among them some specially invited guests .It was followed by a slap-up tea donated by 'The Bell'
The platform pary comprised John Loaring who opened the hall.  He was supported by two speakers-Eileen Zoers (Village Hall Director, Community Council for Somerset) and Sylvia Seal,(South Somerset District Council). John Sullivan, Chairman, Jubilee Hall Management Committee gave an address of thanks to all who had made the completion possible.
