Winsham School-who, when & where? |

Winsham Drum & Fife Band, that is mentioned in the early School
Logs. The date of the picture is 1857.Anyone know the name of
the dog? Or anything else about this picture, which is a
wonderful example of very early photography, presumably taken by
one of the 'gentry' -the Box Brownie did not arrive on the scene
for another 45years! |

Whoever they are they seem happy enough at their work,
although the horse seems a bit cheesed off. |

This is the Empire Day celebration of 1912.Does anyone remember
